Samsung expands distribution of ultra-bright S-PVA LCD panels for TVs in North America
Samsung Electronics announced on April 25 that it is ramping up production of 40-inch and larger LCD TV panels with S-PVA (super patterned vertical alignment) technology, in response to growing interest in the sharper, more versatile viewing experience that the technology enables.

LG opens world's largest LCD factory complex
LG Philips has opened up a large LCD factory just north of Seoul Korea which has a ground floor area of six football fields. The factory cost $5 billion dollars to build and will make 720,000 42-inch panels a month by the end of the year. The combined area for all the floors is 307,000 square meters, which makes it the largest LCD plant in the world.
