R.I.T. could receive nearly $3 million thanks to the 2006 Defense Appropriations Bill. Local lawmakers say $2.7 million of the bill was included for the "Defense Systems Modernization and Sustainment Initiative" at the college.

Riders Bike Scenic View for Cure 
It was good exercise for a good cause at Mendon Ponds Park at the annual Tour de Cure fundraiser Sunday. Nine hundred riders from the U.S. and Canada participated in rides of various lengths, from seven to 100 miles.
