FAYETTEVILLE - The latest victim of identity theft: Cumberland County. Edwin Lynwood Reid, 44, of Fayetteville, was arrested May 19, accused of counterfeiting $6,759 in county checks and cashing them at local businesses in April. A local bank discovered the bogus payments and alerted police.
