BRIDGETON -- The following people were recently indicted by a Cumberland County Superior Court grand jury. The information includes each defendant's age and address; the charges listed in the indictment; and the month when the alleged crimes occurred.

EDITORIAL - Those Loose Laptops
The recent theft of a laptop computer containing sensitive account data has put Fidelity Investments on the defensive. The laptop, reportedly stolen when it was taken to a business meeting, contained information on 196,000 retirement-account customers, including their Social Security numbers.

A Beacon man who admitted dealing cocaine in the city last fall was sentenced Tuesday to six months in jail and placed on probation for five years. Dutchess County Court Judge Thomas J. Dolan imposed the sentence on Paul Pryor, 19, of Cross Street.

Report finds (only) 3.6 million victims of ID theft
An estimated 3.6 million households, or about 3 percent of all households in the country, have been victims of identity theft, according to the Justice Department.
